At Mooboo, we are committed to protecting your privacy, with particular care given to the privacy of children. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard information when you use our platform to create personalised children’s stories.

Mooboo is a service for parents and gift-givers, not a service directed at children. When you upload a photo of a child as a character reference, you confirm that:

Mooboo requires all account holders to be 18 or older. To help verify this, we may use a third-party identity verification provider, Didit, which performs an ID document check, a live selfie match, and basic device/IP checks.
When Didit is used, it processes and retains the verification data itself (your ID document image, a short selfie video, and the match result) under its own privacy policy. Mooboo does not store your ID document, selfie, or date of birth — we only store the verification outcome (approved/declined) and the date it happened.
Some of the providers we use to run Mooboo are located overseas — primarily in the United States, and in Norway for printing. When you use Mooboo, your data may be transferred to and processed in these countries.

We share only what each provider needs to perform its function, and require that they handle your data securely.
We do not use your stories, character reference photos, or other personal details to train our own AI models, and we do not permit our AI partners to use them to train publicly available AI models. Your content is used only to generate the book you requested.
This relies on the data-use terms of the AI providers we work with (see "Who we share your data with" above). We choose to send data through these providers' standard business APIs, whose terms exclude customer data from model training — not their public consumer products, which may have different defaults.

We use industry-standard safeguards — including encryption in transit, access controls, and secure authentication — to help protect your information from unauthorised access, loss, misuse, or disclosure. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we work to protect your data using practices appropriate to its sensitivity.
We use a small number of essential cookies to keep you signed in and remember basic preferences as you use Mooboo. We do not use cookies for advertising, and we do not use third-party tracking or analytics cookies.
